Contains two planets in the same system: their homeworld, and a semi-habitable icy planet which they are in the process of terraforming.
- Econ: While each country on the Ridalian world originally had all kinds of laws and each had their own way of dealing with trade between the other countries, the Ridalian Union (since gaining much political power in the past few years) has declared free trade between all Ridalians. Significant funding has gone into scientific research, and anyone who can create new inventions or get ahold of technologies from other species and reverse engineer them is highly praised and well-compensated. This has become their highest priority.
- Social: The Ridalian homeworld contains 28 different countries, each with their own form of government (some are varying forms of democracies or republics, a couple have communist-like governments, some have monarchies), but each country is represented in the Ridalian Union, a league that formed around the time they discovered there was other life out there in the universe, and which has gradually been gaining more and more power, as the Ridalians are starting to feel more unified as they come to realize just how much alike they all are, especially compared with the other types of life out there. The colony world has representatives from 15 of the 28 countries, and the Ridalian Union has forbidden any country from laying claim to any part of the colony world. Instead, it is recognized as being under the Union.
